Why we have the Second Amendment.

To quote President George Washington "an armed man is a citizen, an unarmed man is a subject". The free man has the right to bear arms to protect himself and others from tyranical governments including their own and, if called for all abled bodied men to gather in the common defense of their country bringing their weapons with them. Yes some of this is paraphrasing however, Washington did indeed say these things.
